Ebony, Fashion Fair and Macy’s Present “For the Love of Color”

January 27, 2011

In conjunction with Ebony Magazine and Fashion Fair of the Johnson Publishing Company and Macy’s is presenting For the Love of Color, a beauty, fashion and lifestyle tribute to the life of legendary style maven, Eunice Johnson. I had the pleasure of attending tonight’s debut at the Macy’s flagship store here in NYC (photos were taken so I may update once I get them!).  The exhibition featured Eunice’s private archives, which really were works of art.

And in attendance were celebrity makeup artist Sam Fine, celeb stylist and fashion maven June Ambrose, and Johnson Publishing leaders Linda Johnson Rice, and the one and only Desiree Rogers, CEO, visionary, fashionista.  She’s my ultimate girl, no, woman crush and I’m going on the record saying I WANT TO BE LIKE HER WHEN I GROW UP.

In addition to New York City, the retrospective will be on exhibit at the following Macy’s locations:

– Macy’s State Street, Chicago, IL; Feb. 2- 7
– Macy’s Galleria at Hidalgo, Houston, TX; Feb. 3 – 8
– Macy’s Center City, Philadelphia, PA; Feb. 9 – 14
– Macy’s Aventura, Aventura, FL; Feb. 10 – 14
– Macy’s Lakeside, Metarie, LA; Feb. 17 – 21
– Macy’s Metro Center, Washington, DC; Feb. 17 – 21
– Macy’s Beverly Center, Los Angeles, CA; Feb. 22 – 28
– Macy’s Lenox Square, Atlanta, GA; Feb. 24 – 28
