DailyCandy becomes even more of a Gilt-y pleasure

DailyCandy just got even sweeter. On Friday, DailyCandy announced its plans to launch an e-commerce, members-only site – Swirl, Sample Sales by DailyCandy – following the lead of Gilt Groupe, Rue La La, Ideeli, Haute Couture and the handful of other sites offering higher-end apparel, shoes and accessories at deep discounts. Swirl will host sample sales three days a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Each sale will last 72 hours and will feature established and emerging designers like Leifsdottir (one of my faves!) and Lauren Merkin. But instead of buyers, DailyCandy Editors will be the ones making the selections. It’s a great way for the brand to leverage the trust the editors have already gained with DailyCandy subscribers.

Swirl will “soft launch” on November 16th to a select number of DailyCandy subscribers (including yours truly) and will debut nationally in January, just in time for your post-holiday splurge.
